Storyline: The film begins with an animated interpretation of the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi. The influences from the tale correlate with Vikram, a brave and honest police inspector who is decisive about right and wrong, and Vedha, a gangster who seems to understand the grey shades between good and evil. Vikram is part of an encounter unit led by his colleague Simon, which is formed to eliminate Vedha. On one such encounter, the squad kills some of Vedha’s henchmen, framing the death of an unarmed criminal killed by Simon to avoid further inquiry. When a new recruit, Santhanam is nervous about this.
